Headaches & Migraines
Headaches have become a common part of everyday life for many of us and like back pain, there are many causes and presentations ranging from band like pressure across the forehead that are experienced with tension headaches to more intense symptoms and pain felt with migraines that are often forewarned with signs such as aura (neurological symptoms including visual disturbances and tingling into hands and face) and sickness/nausea. Headache and migraine triggers can arise from mechanical issues with the neck, tension, emotional stress, physical trauma and nutritional imbalances.
Symptoms
- Dull or aching pain affecting the upper back, neck, scalp, forehead and eye regions of the head.
- Pain on one or both sides of the head
- Stiff neck
- Pain around the eyes
- Pain while coughing or sneezing
- Headache with certain neck movements
- Nausea and vomiting
- Sensitivity to light, noise and/or smell
